UPDATE: SWIMGYM CLOSING IS EXTENDED UP TO AND INCLUDING APRIL 28th
On March 31 the government declared that the mandatory closing of sports and fitness clubs will be extended up to and including April 28th. The health and safety of everyone is of the upmost importance and we trust that the measures taken will ensure the resuming of your SwimGym trainings as of the end of April.
We truly regret the fact that you are missing out on your swim training due to this shutdown. The compensation scheme mentioned in our newsletter last Friday will naturally be extended to April 28th as well. We offer the following solutions to our members:
COMPENSATION SCHEME
Your lost training sessions will be compensated as much as possible through extra credits, personal training or extension of the validity of your punchcard. The extra compensation credits stay valid for several months after opening.
ALTERNATIVE TRAINING
Our Dryland Workouts on YouTube by our SwimGym coaches will continue daily at 10am LIVE or ON DEMAND via the SwimGym App (News).
NEW: SWIMGYM VIRTUAL BIKE RIDES ON ZWIFT
Are you a triathlete training on a cycle trainer? Every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:30pm SwimGym coach Fedor Hes organises a virtual group training with other SwimGym members on ZWIFT. Log in on ZWIFT, connect to 'Fedor Hes' and you will receive an invitation to join the sessions.
The exact details of the intended compensation scheme depends on the duration of the closure. The compensation scheme will be finalised once we reopen. Conditions compensation scheme apply.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
We want nothing more than for you to resume your swim training with us as soon as possible. We fully understand that not everyone is capable of supporting us if the government decides to extend the closing once more. In that case we would like to offer you the possibility during the extended closure to TEMPORARILY PAUSE YOUR MEMBERSHIP from May 1st (providing you have not cancelled nor have open payments). During the pausing you do not pay for your membership.
By not pausing your membership, you SUPPORT THE SWIMGYM directly during this challenging period of closing and help us to continue offering our services in the future. SwimGym finds itself in a rare position. We are the only independent operating swimming pool and we need to keep the pool operational during this time of closure.
Around April 21st the government will announce if further measures are necessary. We will then inform you about how and when to pause your membership from May 1st.
REOPENING SWIMGYM
The moment we are allowed to reopen, SwimGym will take all the necessary safety and health precautions as instructed by the Dutch government and RIVM.
We want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for all the heart warming messages we received over the past weeks. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience.
