The Dutch government has issued new measures to keep us safe from the coronavirus, starting October 14th at 10pm. Swimming at SwimGym remains possible and we are very happy to be able to provide you with our services!
Group lessons for individual sports (non-contact) like swimming are allowed with a maximum of 30 people training in one space when maintaining 1,5 meters distance.
We have made adjustments in our social distancing instructions, including our SWOD program. Dryland sessions are cancelled and the showers are out of use. We ask you to change quickly by wearing your swim suit underneath your clothing upon arrival.
Please read the adjustments carefully before visiting SwimGym.
SWOD ADJUSTMENTS
• SWOD's will start from both sides, this makes it easier to keep distance while resting.
• The majority of our SWOD sessions have been reduced to a maximum capacity of 10 swimmers.
• We have added extra SWOD's during the week and in the weekend.
• We have adjusted our SWOD set-up and program in order to minimise group instructions.
KEY INSTRUCTIONS:
• Keep 1,5 meters distance and maintain one-way traffic in the pool at all times (do not pass other people after entering the pool).
• Arrive 15 minutes early and follow staff instructions at all times.
• We request to wear your swim suit underneath your clothing upon arrival and to change quickly.
• Showers are out of use.
• For Laps: exit the pool only and exactly 35 minutes or 60 minutes after the start of your booked laps hour.
Needless to say we need to be even more aware and responsive to our SwimGym Social Distancing protocol and instructions to make sure we can continue swimming in a safe and responsible manner.
The SwimGym Social Distancing protocol is included in our house rules and therefore part of our Terms & Conditions. Read all about it in our Frequently Asked Questions.
DID YOU KNOW?
Since we reopened in May, SwimGym has changed its air circulation to 100% fresh (outdoor) air supply throughout the facility. There is no recirculation of air.
Swimming pools are regarded as safe sporting facilities by the Dutch government due to the reducing effect of chlorine on spreading the corona virus.
