Dear SwimGym member,
Today the Dutch government announced that the current lockdown will be extended for three weeks. This means SwimGym remains closed up to and including February 9th. Subject to the development of the coronavirus, SwimGym reopens on Wednesday February 10th.
Obviously we, just like you, are very disappointed about this. The lockdown asks a lot from us, our patience and understanding. However we trust that this extended lockdown will lead to a responsible reopening of SwimGym.
Even though this situation is beyond everybody’s control, we do try to compensate your missed swim sessions as much as we can while trying to secure the future of SwimGym at the same time. Read in this newsletter about our additional compensation scheme.
Together we will get through this challenging time. We are very grateful for your continuing support and understanding. 🙏
Team SwimGym
COMPENSATION
We offer the following options to compensate your missed swim sessions:
Alternative workouts. Every day we offer online workouts to keep you fit and healthy during lockdown. Go to the SwimGym app (news) and join us.
Compensation missed sessions. The current compensation scheme (closure December 14th - January 19th) for memberships remains in effect. The validity of punchcards and personal training will be extended based on the compensation scheme. The validity of Try-Outs are extended automatically. The compensation can be requested once we reopen. Read the details of the compensation scheme here.
Additional: pause your membership direct debit. Since the lockdown is extended, it remains uncertain when SwimGym can reopen. We therefore offer to temporarily pause your membership. The direct debit of monthly- and year memberships can be paused during the period of closure in February. During the pause you do not pay for your membership.
Read below how you can request a membership pause.
WE APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT 💛
We fully understand that not everybody is able to help us in keeping our head above water. However, it would be highly appreciated if you do not pause your membership and continue your support. When you do not pause your monthly- or year membership, your direct debit will continue as normal.
SwimGym finds itself in a challenging situation since we are an independent swimming pool. Unfortunately it is not possible to just 'switch off the lights', the pool needs to stay operational and maintained during the closure. Your contribution will offer some relief in carrying the costs and help secure the future of SwimGym.
PAUSE OPTION
Only upon request we can pause the direct debit of your membership during the period of closure in February. During the pause, starting February 1st, you do not pay for your membership. To be considered for a pause option you have to have an active monthly or year membership, not have cancelled your membership or have any open payments.
REQUEST BEFORE JANUARY 25th
To modify your direct debit for February, you need to request your pause before January 25th on the SwimGym website. When your request is approved you will receive a confirmation.
Unless communicated otherwise by SwimGym, your direct debit will continue proportionally on the day of reopening in February.
Requests after January 25th can not be accepted due to direct debit processing time. Read the conditions to pause your membership direct debit.
