We just received confirmation that swimming pools are allowed to reopen, you can resume your swim training at Swimgym on Wednesday May 19th! We will organise our swim program safely and responsible as you are used to at SwimGym.
Guidelines for swimming
Laps swimming is allowed with a maximum of 30 people in the pool and exclusively with a reservation. Keep 1,5 meters distance, also while swimming and from the instructor. Overtaking is not allowed.
Adjusted program
The upcoming weeks will be all about easy swimming and focus on technique during SWOD's. We'll be starting from both sides, the emphasis will be on individual feedback.
Book your swim sessions
You can now book your swim sessions for the upcoming week. Please note the following:
* Please book your SWOD according to your swimming level prior to the closure.
* Only book the time slot you intend to use for training: it is not allowed to book more than one SWOD a day.
* SwimGym will cancel your bookings when more than one SWOD booking has been made for the same day.
Thank you for your cooperation, this way all members can enjoy swimming again. In order to maximise training opportunities we have temporarily added extra SWOD's to the schedule and expanded our opening hours.
Prepare your SwimGym visit by reading our social distancing instructions (https://swimgym.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360008137378-What-are-the-social-distancing-instructions-for-members-) below. We can't wait to welcome you back in the pool!

START SWIMMING WISELY
------------------------------------------------------------
After a long period of not swimming we advice to start your swimming routine wisely. The first few weeks will be about returning to the water and focus on the technique. To prevent injuries we advice not to swim every day and incorporate resting days to recover.
INSTRUCTIONS SWIMMING RESPONSIBLY
------------------------------------------------------------
Our social distancing instructions (https://swimgym.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360008137378-What-are-the-social-distancing-instructions-for-members-) are mandatory for anyone who visits SwimGym. These instructions are for yours and everyone's safety. A reminder:
Arrival at reception
* Arrive 15 minutes before the start of your training session and wait for further instruction of our staff.
* Are you a bit early? Please wait outside.
* When you arrive within 10 minutes before the start of your training session, access will be denied due to oneway traffic on pool deck.
Changing rooms and showers
* Maximum of 4 persons at the same time in the locker room, including 1 waiting spot.
* Change quickly at the designated changing spots.
* Use of the showers is not allowed.
On pool deck
* Oneway traffic is applicable on pool deck: do not pass other swimmers but ask for assistance.
* Wait on the designated waiting spots on pool deck.
* You need to be on a pool deck waiting spot no later than 5 minutes prior to the start of your training session so exiting swimmers can leave the pool safely.
Laps & Personal Training
* Laps swimmers are allowed to exit the pool exactly 35 or 60 minutes after the start of the training session due to oneway traffic.
* In case you have personal training, please wait in the shower area for your coach.
SWOD's will start from both sides in small groups of max 3 swimmers. Read all social distancing instructions on our website (https://swimgym.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360008137378-What-are-the-social-distancing-instructions-for-members-) . Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
