You can pause your pool membership one-time, in case of a longterm illness, injury or pregnancy. A statement, of your treating doctor or physiotherapist, is required for the period you are not able/allowed to swim. We do not need a medical reason, the statement of the treating doctor for the period which you are not allowed to swim will be sufficient. A pause can only be requested one-time for a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months. Please note: the end date of the pause can not be changed.
To pause your membership we will need from you;
- A doctor’s statement stating the period you are not able/allowed to swim.
- End date for the pause.
The pause will start after the statement is handed over and you received our approval and confirmation for the pause. After the end date of the pause period(this date cannot be changed) your membership will be reactivated automatically. In case of a year membership the contract period will be extended by the duration of the approved pause. With an outstanding payment the pause can’t take place.
Why do I need a doctor's statement?
With a doctor's statement you can temporarily pause your pool membership due to an longterm illness, injury or pregnancy. A doctor's statement can be issued by your or an independent doctor such as a physiotherapist, hospital or doctor's practice and must indicate that you are unable to swim and for which period you cannot swim. A copy from part of the file showing this is also sufficient. The (medical) reason why is not important and we ask you not to submit this information. This is after all privacy sensitive information.
